Shirley,
South Buffalo:
To the person(s) who threw concrete building blocks through my car windshield
while it was parked in my driveway, remember, what goes around comes around.
There is a reward to the person(s) who witnessed this vandalism. You know where
it happened, so come see me.
Renee,
South Buffalo:
Veterans Day is a federal holiday. From all appearances, it looks like anyone
who works for the government, financial institutions, post office, school
employees and students are pretty much the only ones who receive paid time off
for this "holiday". For anyone else, it's a workday like any other. Why? I pay
federal taxes. As far as I know, everyone I work with pays federal taxes. It's
taken out of our paychecks every payday. Why then are we not entitled to this
holiday? Why is it only allotted to a certain chosen few? We are asked to
remember our veterans on this day and I am more than willing to thank and honor
the many who have served and are currently serving our country. However, as far
as it being considered a holiday, I think if it's a holiday, it should be
across the board for everyone.
