Lisa,
Depew: I'm
just wondering. Our government is claiming that Social Security will be broke
in five to 10 years. Yet they allow all these jobs to go overseas. Can anyone
figure out how this makes any sense?
Mark,
Depew: In
response to all those griping about school buses. I am a school bus driver. I
am the most hated human being on the planet. Unless you have driven a school
bus, you cannot understand what we go through transporting your little
blessings. First of all, we don't like stopping at every driveway, either. But,
we have parents calling us and the school district asking to have their
children picked up and/or dropped off in front of the house because there is a
sexual predator living in the neighborhood. We would love to pick up all the
children at centralized corners. Also, once the children get on the bus, we
cannot move the bus until they are sitting down. And some kids take their sweet
time finding and taking a seat. It's all about safety. The safety of your
children. If you don't like school buses making you late for work, there are
several options to consider. Move closer to work. Move closer to the school so
your kids can walk to school. Home school your children so there will be fewer
school buses on the road. Take a Metro bus to work. Or, just suck it up,
because we bus drivers are not going to compromise on safety for a few
motorists who feel they are being inconvenienced.
